The Graduate Revels

The Graduate Revels at Northrop will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

The Revels will include:

  • the 2014 Doctoral Research Showcase of 81 research posters by recipients of graduate fellowships,
  • tours of the renovated Northrop building,
  • a show/contest of photos taken by graduate students and postdocs,
  • dance, music and theater performances,
  • demonstrations of cool graduate projects, including dancing robots, the making of a medieval book, observational cosmology, theatre design, multimedia visual displays, and more,
  • a session by postdocs on "Things I Wish I Had Known as a Graduate Student"
  • readings, discussions and panels,
  • videos of University of Minnesota entries to the Dance Your PhD competition sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS),
  • drawings by students in the School of Architecture,
  • and good food!

Tours of Northrop will provide a first look at some of the architectural and historical highlights of the renovation. All events are free and open to the public. We hope to see you at the Revels!
