The 3-Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition that challenges students to communicate the significance of their projects without the use of props or industry jargon, in just three minutes.
Recipients of prestigious doctoral fellowships present their research in a casual and conversational environment. This showcase provides faculty, staff, students and friends of the University a glimpse of the future of many fields and of the world’s future faculty and intellectual leaders.
The purpose of the Graduate and Professional Education Assembly (GPEA), held annually, is to create a climate for University-wide collaboration and networking across diverse disciplines and to advance a broad conversation about the development of graduate and professional education across the institution.
This event is designed to introduce new graduate students to the University, the graduate community and the broad range of resources and services available to support their success. Visit the orientation website for more information.
