L'Oreal USA For Women in Science Fellowship

Application opens November 30, 2015

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program recognizes and rewards the contributions women make in STEM fields and identifies exceptional women researchers committed to serving as role models for younger generations. More than 2,250 women scientists in over 110 countries have been recognized since the program began in 1998.

In the US, the For Women In Science fellowship program awards five post‐doctoral women scientists annually with grants of $60,000 each. Applicants are selected from a variety of fields, including the life and physical/material sciences, technology (including computer science), engineering, and mathematics. More information

Giva Student Scholarship: How Will You Use Your Talents & Education to Make the World a Better Place?

Giva's Corporate Student Scholarship and Worldwide Community Ambassador Award is for anyone attending a college or university worldwide. This scholarship grant is aimed at assisting undergraduate or graduate students further their education as well as expand their social responsibility and community service footprint in the world. There is no specific course of study or major required. Giva will award $1000 scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students who write thoughtful essays in answering the following questions: How will you use your talents and education to make the world a better place for future generations? The Advanced Professional Degree Consulting Club (APDCC) is pleased to announce the spring 2016 consulting internship program for advanced professional degree students and holders. While advanced professional degree holders are experts in their fields, the transition between academia and industry can be a daunting challenge. Greetings Future Faculty Members! Do you want to find out more about the academic job search? If so, please join us on Wednesday, January 13 for the Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Retreat (location to be announced). As a participant, you'll be able to attend workshops that cover the academic job search and talk to faculty experts from local colleges and universities about finding an academic position that's right for you. The PFF Retreat begins at 12:00 p.m. when you pick up your registration packet and concludes at 4:30 p.m. A $10 registration fee includes workshop materials and light refreshments.
