  • The scale may be reversed with higher grades such as 4 equating to an A and continuing in descending order at a few schools.
  • Courses in which students receive grades of Conditional Failure or Conditional Pass can be repeated, but the highest replacement grade posted to the transcript will be a grade of C, regardless of the grade earned in the repeated course.

SUGGESTED DEGREE EQUIVALENCE:

Equivalent to US Bachelor’s:

  • Bachelor’s degree - comparable to a bachelor's degree in the United States.
  • Licentiate - comparable to a bachelor's degree in the United States. Awarded after the Baccalaureate degree (which is not comparable).

Equivalent to US Master’s:

  • Doctor of Canon Law - comparable to a master's degree in the United States.
  • Doctor of Sacred Theology - comparable to a master's degree in the United States.

Professional qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - comparable to a first professional degree in the United States.
