RECOMMENDATION

Expect a Second Class Honors placement in order to indicate that the student is of high quality. A student receiving placement below that level would not ordinarily be admitted to graduate study in New Zealand.

Greater weight should be given to the candidates record in the subjects of the fourth examination. In the fourth examination the student has a choice of subjects, this is not the case in the first, second, and third examinations.
