Check Your Status
You can always check the status of your application materials online, even after you submit your application. This is important since some materials, such as test scores and recommendations, might be submitted at different times.
To check your status, simply log back in to the same ApplyYourself admissions system you used to submit your online application. You will see the Application for Admission section (pictured below), which contains important updates about the status of your application, recommendations, any standardized tests (like GRE or TOEFL), and even your transcripts. You will also be updated via email as your application is reviewed and a decision is made.
You can also click on Application for Admission after you submit to check on any information you wish (statements, transcripts, resumes, etc.). Basically, anything you can see in your online application, we can see on our end too! =)
Please check your status online first!! Help us to help you!
During peak times of the year it may take a few days after you apply for your status to be updated. This is because our staff reviews your material and enters information into our campus system. So while we understand your desire to make sure we receive your material, it is very difficult for us to check on individual applications during this busy time. So, before calling or emailing our office please help us by first checking your online status by logging into the ApplyYourself admissions system.

You can also view your own applicant copy of your application as a PDF document. This will allow you to see both self-reported and official test scores. Click here for more details. |
What's my status?
There are a few different status updates that will appear on your status update page as your application moves towards a decision.
Here's what each one means:
Application Received - your online application has been received, including any documents that have been uploaded (transcripts, statements, etc.).
Awaiting Program Decision - your transcripts have been checked and your program is reviewing your application.
Final Review - your program has made its admission decision and University officials are doing a very quick (usually within two business days) final review of your materials before sending out the decision notification.
Decision Made - a decision has been made and is ready for you to view.

Tip! Even after you've submitted your application, it's always a good idea to double check the website of your graduate program of interest to make sure you properly followed the application instructions.
Thank you again for applying to the University of Minnesota!
