The
mission of the Graduate School Diversity Office (GSDO) is to coordinate
and lead the Graduate School initiatives in the recruitment, funding,
retention and graduation of a diverse student body. In addition,
the GSDO works closely with other University of Minnesota offices
that are concerned with diversity and multiculturalism. The
GSDO provides advising to assist prospective graduate students (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents) with the admission process and
on financing graduate school. The GSDO fosters opportunities for
graduate students to build community ties, to strengthen their networking
skills, and to enhance their professional development.
