Faculty Grants Office

As of July 1, 2009, the Faculty Grants Office became a part of the Office of the Vice President for Research’s newly named Office of Internal Grants and Awards. This office administers internal faculty research grant programs, including the Grant-in-Aid of Research, Artistry, and Scholarship Program (GIA), and coordinates the internal selection of faculty pre-proposals for submission to a number of private foundation and federal agency competitive programs for which the number of nominations submitted by the University of Minnesota are restricted.
