Reconsidering Development Reception: Celebrate the re-launch of Reconsidering Development, an interdisciplinary, peer reviewed e-journal housed at the University of Minnesota.

The Graduate Review and Improvement Process (GRIP) will showcase this year's 11 GRIP programs on May 6 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the President's Room at Coffman Memorial Union. Please RSVP to gensi002@umn.edu.

Funding/Employment Opportunities

Call for pre-proposals for the NSF Research Traineeship program: The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced a new traineeship program that encourages “the development of bold, new, potentially transformative, and scalable models for STEM graduate training that ensure that graduate students develop the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to pursue a range of STEM careers.”

Each institution is limited to two proposal submissions. Awards are up to five years in duration with a budget of up to $3,000,000. The PI must be a University of Minnesota faculty member.  Pre-proposals are limited to STEM fields of study approved by the NSF. Pre-proposals are due by noon on May 12. More info >
