2010-2011 International Graduate Student Funding Minimums

The following are the minimum funding amounts international students will be required to present for the 2010-11 academic year in order for the Graduate School Office of Admissions to issue the form I-20 required to obtain a student visa.
These figures are the combination of cost of tuition (if applicable), books and supplies, mandatory student fees and health insurance, and living expenses.

The minimum total financial resources a 50-percent assistant must show is $16,347. This means that your 50-percent assistantship must be at least $16,347 if that is the only funding available to the student.

The minimum total financial resources a 25-percent assistant must show is $23,483.
The minimum total financial resources a 33.3-percent assistant must show is $21,081.

The total minimum for students who do not hold an assistantship is $37,014.

(Please note that the figure is different for those assistants majoring in fields with a non-resident tuition rate that differs from the standard Graduate School rate for 6-14 credits)

Please contact our office for information about how to calculate the costs for 12.5- to 24-percent-time assistants, or if you have any other questions.
