NOTE

This is for CURRENT University of Minnesota Graduate School students who are nearing completion of their degree. This is NOT for admissions information.

Effective July 2002, masters, specialist, post-baccalaureate, and nursing post-masters students who have applied for graduation will receive information via their University of Minnesota-assigned email account about any outstanding degree requirements that must be completed before their degree will be awarded. Students who complete all degree requirements in the month in which they applied to graduate will receive an email confirmation of degree clearance. This change from the current practice of sending such notices (commonly called "balance letters") by mail is in keeping with the University of Minnesota's policy of using University-assigned email accounts as the institution's official means of communication with all students.
