SPECIALIST

Final examination committee:

• Minimum of 3 examiners all from the major field or 2 examiners from the major and 1 examiner from outside the major.

Adviser:

• Must hold an MA or SM membership in the major field.
• Must represent the major field on the examination committee.

Adviser as chair:

• Can serve as chair for the final examination.

Co-adviser:

• Not required;
• Must hold MA or SM membership in major field or related field.

Co-adviser as chair:

• Can serve as chair for the final examination.
