selecting an excellent and diverse class. The workshop featured Andrea Scott, Director of Admissions and Recruiting for The Graduate School, Paul White, JD, Director of Medical School Admissions, and Larry Bjorklund, Program Director for Veterinary Medicine Student Affairs.

| Description: |
This workshop examined ways in which colleges, departments and programs can set diversity goals related to admissions, develop sound strategies to meet these goals, and evaluate and measure progress to established goals. These topics were discussed in the context of the legal parameters set forth by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2003 and further elaborated on by the Court in 2007. The workshop also provided participants the opportunity to share best practices both during the workshop and into the future.
The workshop panel will feature Kim Boyd, Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, Tracy Smith, Associate General Counsel, and Kris Lockhart, Associate Vice President in the Office of the Vice President and Vice Provost for Equity and Diversity.
